Rare Southern Sugar Table, Probably
Kentucky or Tennessee, ca. 1830
28 ¾ inches (maximum total height), 22 ¼ inches (maximum total width), 20 ¾ inches (maximum total depth, front to back), 20 inches (case width), 19 ¼ inches (case front to back), 11 ¾ inches (case depth including drawer).
Primary wood: Cherry, Secondary wood: Tulip Poplar.
Nicely turned legs, probably old second finish, original locks, strip of wood along back where hinges are attached is a restoration, arm rest to hold top up is probably an old addition, pulls are replaced, rich patina.
